about the project
Manipulated Flora started when I moved into a home that has a disguised cell phone tower in the backyard! It still makes me laugh and I've been photographing and drawing these trees for a year. (some images are on portfolio page)
My goal is to collect new images for drawing ideas as well as sharing this humorous attempt at "disguise" or" prettification" with others.
How to participate:
You may upload images of disguised cell phone tower trees, oddly trimmed (butchered?) trees and or flora that has been manipulated by people - think elegant like bonsai or ugly - I'm interested in both.
Big inspirations for this site are Waymarking.com (category of Disguised Cell Towers), also FaudFrond.com - (both are hysterical!) The difference in this site is the intention of collecting imagery for artwork.
PLEASE make sure that all photos are YOUR images. They should be jpg, gif or png, no larger than 800 pixels in any direction. Submission of photos implies permission for Catherinechauvin.com to use photos in directly or indirectly as part of future art work and for display on the website. Click here to upload images.
